Around the world for mentorship

It was a whirlwind trip from Australia to Canada for the launch of the Harry G. Schaefer Mentorship Program at Mount Royal University, Calgary and I loved every minute!

The Harry G. Schaefer Mentorship Program links undergraduates and alumni to assist the transition for students into their careers.

About twenty mentoring champions met with me in the morning to workshop ways to maintain the momentum of the program. Then in the afternoon almost two hundred attended the launch. I also fitted in a couple of radio interviews and one for the university e-newsletter.

My wonderful hosts, Ashley, Catharine and Cyndi also took me up to the Canadian Rockies and the beautiful town of Banff – it was the icing on the cake! The stunning views were unforgettable.

Thanks to everyone who participated and to Student Services, Mount Royal University and the Schaefer family who are responsible for the program.
