Planning Your Mentoring Program
An 8 Hour Institute
with
Ann Rolfe
Time invested in planning makes a huge difference if you want an effective mentoring strategy that is well implemented and produces important outcomes.
Your mentoring strategy needs:
Planning – a well thought-out blueprint that clearly ties mentoring to important outcomes and maps out how they will be achieved and evaluated;
Promotion - your ability to communicate so that mentoring is recognized and welcomed by stakeholders;
Preparation of People – mentors and mentorees who are recruited, selected, trained and properly equipped to succeed in mentoring; and,
Program Support - a structured program that includes ongoing assistance, follow-up and feedback.
There is no “one-size-fits-all” in mentoring. Your strategy must be tailored to your organization, your people and the outcomes you want to achieve. There are many variables and decisions to be made.
This workshop guides you through all the critical elements of program design. Strategies for matching mentoring partners, facilitating the establishment of effective relationships and the logistics of implementing your program will also be discussed.

The Mentoring Mindset
2 hour Workshop
with
Ann Rolfe
There is something beyond techniques of mentoring that we may teach. It is as important as any skill, perhaps more so. It’s the mentoring mindset and it includes the essential attitudes, values or philosophy with which people approach their role as mentor. The mentoring mindset compliments skills and techniques and allows mentors to understand that mentoring can be more about being than doing.
This session will allow you to discuss:
-
What difference does mindset make?
-
Six values that frame the mentoring mindset; and
-
Can you help mentors learn mindset?
