One Mentor Makes A Difference For Indigenous Youth

94% of Aboriginal students who completed year 12 last year in NSW town of Dubbo are continuing their education at university or TAFE or have full-time jobs.

They are an inspiration to youth in their community as they train as doctor, teacher, hairdresser, spray painter ot other vocation that a few years ago seemed impossible.

Sally Nelson, the youth and transition officer at Dubbo College has been instrumental in convincing young people that they have what it takes.

The promise  of a career is empowering a new generation of indigenous youth. Sydney Morning Herald 6 April 2013
