Participant Support Program

Participant Support Program

For ongoing engagement, participants need a program of support that:

  • Inspires and encourages them;
  • Continues the development of their skills;
  • Answers their questions and builds confidence.

Mentoring Works offers cost-effective alternatives for providing necessary support.

Mentoring Tips

These one-page easy to read tips are highly valued by participants. They provide mentors with ongoing information, tools and motivation; keep participants engaged in the process; and inform managers about mentoring techniques and benefits. Each Article is licensed for in-house use and supplied in electronic (PDF) format. It may be posted on your intranet site or emailed to staff. The material is copyright but unlimited in-house use is permitted under the license agreement.  You can buy sets of twelve Tips @ $220.00 per set or all forty-eight Tips for $690.00so that you can send to participants weekly, fortnightly or monthly. We can set up automatic emailing for you, if you prefer, at no additional cost. Details here.

E-Learning

Our online tutorials allow people to develop knowledge and skills in mentoring, right from their own computer. The audio-visual recordings provide quick and easy, bite size chunks of information when and where they want it.

Online tutorials may complement a live workshop as pre-work or post-session follow-up; or stand alone as a program of learning for those unable to attend face-to-face training. Generic or customised audio-visual recordings are available. View one here.

Webinars

For the last three years we’ve been running regular webinars – live online learning with audio, exciting visuals and interactive components. These have proved very popular with an international audience. We also offer customised webinars on mentoring topics of your choice, at times that suits you. It’s like in-house training without people leaving the workplace and with a recording available 24/7. View samples here.

Online Community

In 2009, as part of an e-Mentoring Program for women in regional areas, we set up a mentoring network website. Mentors and Mentees had the ability to contact other participants in a password protected, online community. They were able to start or respond to discussions, ask questions, share their experiences and access additional information. Online tutorials were available and, as well as documents to download, participants could upload and share their own documents. Since then we have set up similar communities for other clients and run our own publicly accessible Mentoring Network Online for program coordinators. View details here.
